Preschool Full Time Teacher

Positions Details/Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child, help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through an Emergent Curriculum.
  • Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Communicate with parents regularly
  • Collaborative Environment

Skills

  • AA/AS degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field required, BA/BS is highly preferred, 2 years of verified full-time childcare experience in a preschool setting.
  • Understanding of the principles of child development
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Engaging, easy-going, friendly, and reliable
  • Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
  • Ability to provide nurturing interactions with children

Full Time Split Shift Group Supervisor

We are looking for a Full Time Group Supervisor for our afterschool programs located in the wonderful Wallingford-Swarthmore / Springfield area.

  • Associates Degree in ECE or Elementary Education (or related field) required
  • 2 years of experience working with children
  • Starting wage of $20 per hour or higher depending on experience and education

As a Group Supervisor, you would oversee a team of ECE teachers, ensure the safety of the children and the site, provide nurturing interactions with children, plan creative, engaging curriculum opportunities based on the interests of children, communicate with families, assess the ongoing needs of individual children, and maintaining a professional demeanor consistent with TCDN’s mission.
